As well as all the latest technologies and conveniences now stock standard on the modern production catamaran, the Aura 51 is an eco-friendly boat. Flush-decked solar panels line the flybridge roof surfaces to produce 2 kilowatts off renewable energy. Then there's the Aura 51 Smart Electric, the zero-emission alternative for the times.

In this superb craft Fountain Pagot have produced a cruising catamaran that comes with impressive on-the-wind sailing performance. An innovative deck layout and the use of quality modern materials thought maximises the outdoor and indoor living spaces for all on board.
There are four different cabin versions of the Aura 51, providing accommodation options to suit charter groups of varying sizes. It's the first catamaran of its size to offer a six-cabin version for a group of 12.
For now most Aura 51 cats in charter have conventional diesel motors - the factory standard is 2 x 60hp with the Aura 51 Smart Electric tentatively entering the charter market. This fully-electric version uses the speed under sail and motors in reverse flow to produce energy - hydro-generation that can charge the boat's batteries in 48 hours. The lithium batteries have a total capacity of 54 kW hours that enable motoring at 5 knots for 5 hours with 10 knots of headwind, or to run the boat’s electrics at anchor for a week. On-board instrumentation displays usage and allows energy management.
