Excess 14 - Full Bareboat or B/b with Skipper Catamarans

Beneteau's Excess range of catamarans, launched in 2021, is now well established as a sailing charter boat. The Excess 14 does not have the flybridge now predominating in the charter market for cats from this length upwards, As a result, there is more headroom and closer contact with fellow travellers on charter, ideal for instance when young children are aboard.

The Excess catamarans replace the popular Lagoons at the lower end of the size range. In doing so we now have a contemprary design with improved performance under sail,  plus clever use of spaces to make life on board as comfortable as possible in the class of catamaran. All that adds up to a great little cruising catamaran that's stamping its mark in the charter market.   

With twin helm stations right at the back of the boat, there is increased living space with the cockpit and saloon becoming one big platform. Without the flybridge of larger catamarans, as well as more headroom there's space for a larger mainsail area with lower boom for better sailing performance than may be expected of a cat. Yet up top there is still a nice spot for members of crew to relax in their own space when at anchor.  

The Excess 14 has three or four double cabins depending on model. it's a boat on which everyone can congregate together and enjoy the ride, or find their own space to chill out and unwind as desired. Well worth considering for groups of family and friends seeking a charter cat that's good to sail, easy to manoeuver and comfortable to holiday aboard.
